No, we do not. We are able to provide much more thorough, personalized, and compassionate care without the time stipulations invoked by insurance plans. Read this blog post for our full reasoning.

YES!!!!! We treat patients all over Texas. We have to see patients in person at least once per year. For persons residing outside of the state of Texas, our first visit must be in person, in the state of Texas, for us to treat you.

Currently, we do not offer primary care services {for medication management/recurring prescriptions outside of what we are treating, vaccinations, acute care visits, etc.} as we are treating long-term health concerns and/or developmental delays. If you have an acute illness, you will need to contact and visit your primary care provider or seek treatment at an Urgent Care/ER.

Yes, you may use pre-tax dollars from a Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for your consultations and lab fees.

At Waco Center for Functional Medicine, our goal is NOT for you to be on 20 supplements for the rest of your life, but instead to find answers as to why you need these supplements, treat the underlying cause, then identify which lifestyle changes and a minimal amount of supplements you need a long term for optimal wellness. Once we find and treat the root cause of illness, many clients can resume life as usual with minimal dietary changes and only a few daily maintenance supplements.

We perform extensive testing based on your history and symptoms. We don’t use the exact same testing for everyone because everyone’s health journey and symptoms are unique. The types of testing that we commonly offer include:

  • Advanced Stool testing
  • Extensive blood work
  • Hormone testing (DUTCH panels)
  • Heavy metal testing
  • OAT testing
  • Mycotoxin (mold) testing
  • Genetic testing
  • Toxicity testing
